Following our recent Parents' Evening, many of you had concerns about your children's use of social media and how some of them are receiving unkind comments from other children in their class or falling out of friendships through social chat sites. Below is the legal guidance on age restrictions for some of the most popular sites. Basically, none of our pupils are old enough to be accessing any of the social media sites mentioned below as they are not old enough. We have previously published this on our website during 'Lockdown' when our children were online for longer because they were learning remotely. We are also posting the same parent information sheet for What's App here as we are aware that there are children in school who are part of chat groups within their classes. We strongly advise, if this is the case, that parents adhere to the age restriction guidance given and do not allow your children access to these sites. Further help sheets can be found on our E-Safety Section of this website.
